What We Fix and Install

Six categories cover nearly everything we get called out for. Whatever your system is doing, it probably lands in one of them.

AC Repair Service

The meter comes out before the quote does. You see the microfarad reading, the amp draw and the temperature split, then you hear one price that will not move.

What we measure

After-Hours & Weekends

Evenings, Saturdays and holidays at the ordinary rate. Rostering a technician for those hours is our problem to solve, not a surcharge to hand to whoever breaks down.

When to call at night

New System Installation

Sized from a room-by-room calculation, then actually commissioned: charge weighed in, airflow measured, superheat and subcooling verified and written down for you.

How an install runs

Duct Sealing & Balancing

A fifth of what you pay to cool the house can end up cooling the attic instead. Mastic on every joint, then the registers measured and the dampers set.

What the attic costs

Tune-Up & Annual Service

Not a filter and a sticker. A fixed measurement list, recorded year on year, so a capacitor drifting toward failure is caught in March instead of August.

What gets checked

Capacitor & Electrical Faults

Humming outside with the fan sitting still is usually a ten-dollar part on a healthy machine. Including, more often than you would think, fire ants in the contactor.

Reading the symptoms

Condensate Drain Clearing

Fifteen gallons a day leaves through a pipe the width of your thumb. When it blocks, the float switch stops the system — or the ceiling finds out first.

Why it blocks

Thermostat Diagnosis

The cheapest part in the system gives all the orders, and a failing one impersonates a dead air conditioner convincingly. Ten minutes of testing rules it out.

Why Homeowners Here Stick With Us

Most of the failures we see were avoidable. A drain line nobody flushed, a filter left in place for a year, ductwork that came apart above the ceiling and never got looked at. We would rather find that on a tune-up than sell you a condenser in August.

What a Service Call Looks Like

Step 1: Book a Visit

Phone or form, either works. We confirm a two-hour window and text you when the truck is actually headed your way, not four hours afterward.

Step 2: Test Before We Touch Anything

Static pressure, superheat, amp draw, temperature split. Guessing is how people end up buying compressors they never needed.

Step 3: You Approve the Price

We show you the reading, explain what it means, and quote a flat number. Nothing gets replaced until you say go.

You Look at the Meter Before You Hear a Price

That capacitor is stamped for 45 microfarads and the meter says 45.2, so it is healthy and it is not your problem. Two minutes of work, and it takes one item off the list before anybody starts talking about money.

When the reading comes back at 31 against the same rating, you can see that for yourself without taking a word of it on trust. That is the whole reason we turn the display around instead of describing it.

Symptoms We See Every Week

Recognise any of these? Most get worse, and more expensive, the longer a system keeps running through them.

Warm Air From the Vents

Charge, compressor, reversing valve

Runs All Day, House Stays Hot

Duct loss and undersized equipment

Thermostat Does Nothing

Controls, wiring, float switches

Ceiling Stains or Puddles

Overflowing pan, blocked drain

Ice on the Copper Lines

Restricted airflow, low charge

Cycles On and Off Constantly

Sensor placement and sizing

Grinding, Squealing, Buzzing

Bearings, contactors, fan blades

Power Bill Jumped This Month

Efficiency and duct-leakage testing

Where a Fifth of Your Cooling Goes

Attic ductwork spends the summer in a space that reaches a hundred and thirty degrees, held together with tape that dried out and let go years ago. Whatever escapes on the way is cooling the roof, and you paid for every bit of it.

Mastic brushed onto the joint stays flexible and keeps sealing for the life of the duct. It is unglamorous work with one of the quickest paybacks in the trade, and we would usually suggest it before a new system.
