Why Flat Rate
Hourly billing quietly rewards the slow job. Nobody sets out to work that way, but a pricing model that pays more for taking longer will bend behaviour over years, and the customer has no way to referee it.
Quoting the repair rather than the hour removes the argument. It also puts the risk in the right place: if a job turns out harder than expected, that is a business absorbing variance across hundreds of calls, which is far more sensible than a household absorbing it on one.
Why the Readings Go on Paper
Air conditioning is one of the few trades where the customer usually cannot see the problem. A failed capacitor looks exactly like a working one. That asymmetry is where the industry earns its reputation, and the only real answer to it is evidence.
So the meter gets turned around. The microfarad reading against the stamped rating, the amp draw against the data plate, the temperature split at the coil. Most people do not want a lecture, but almost everybody wants to see the number, and a customer who has seen the number does not need to take anything on trust.
- State certified and fully insured, with certificates available before work starts
- One flat price for the repair, quoted before it begins and held afterwards
- No evening, weekend or holiday loading on the rate
- Vans stocked for the faults this county produces, so most calls finish in one visit
- Written readings left with you, in a form another contractor could use
- All major brands handled — we are not a dealership for anybody
Where We Work
St Cloud first, then out through Narcoossee, Harmony, Kissimmee, Poinciana, Buenaventura Lakes and the developments spreading east along the highway toward the county line.
Staying inside that radius is what makes the after-hours promise workable. A technician who is twenty minutes from most of the addresses on the schedule can genuinely be somewhere at eight in the evening; one covering three counties cannot, whatever the advertising says.
Who Calls Us
Homeowners are the bulk of it. Alongside them, a steady base of landlords and property managers with units around the county, and a growing number of short-let owners whose systems have to work on a guest changeover day rather than whenever a slot is free.
Those are different jobs with different pressures, and the flat rate suits all three for the same reason: an owner approving work by text message from another state needs a number that will not move. If that is your situation, St Cloud AC Repair is a straightforward phone call and the first conversation costs nothing.
Questions We Get Asked
- Are you properly licensed and covered?
- Yes — state certified for the work and carrying liability and workers compensation cover. We will send the current certificates over before a job starts if you would like to see them, and you should ask that of anyone working on your house.
- Do you do commercial work?
- Small commercial, yes: shops, offices and small units around St Cloud, along with rental portfolios. Large rooftop plant on multi-unit buildings is outside what we take on, and we would rather say so than learn on your building.
- What areas do you charge extra to reach?
- None inside the service area — the callout is the callout wherever you are in it. Well outside it we will still take the call, but we will be honest about the arrival window rather than quietly booking you for a day we cannot make.
